About the work

Terraced hills fold one behind another into the distance, with mist lifting off the valley floor after an afternoon storm. Printed by the artist in his darkroom in Kigali.

Condition

Excellent. Signed and numbered by the artist on the reverse.

Provenance

Acquired from the artist by the present owner, 2020.

The artist

Ndayisenga photographs the hills of southern Rwanda on medium-format film, usually in the hour after rain, when the mist lifts off the terraces. He prints his own gelatin silver editions in a darkroom in Kigali, in editions of eight.
